DiMauro Dance stives to create eclectic influenced, urban inspired works in the modern/post modern dance tradition.

DiMauro Dance is a five member company characterized by the use of emotional intent, athleticism, grounded physicality and urban influenced movement. The company is based in Manhattan, with roots in Westchester County. DiMauro Dance has been performing at venues throughout New York City and Westchester for over seven years. People look for inspiration and inspiration comes from daily life. A hand shake, a hug and laughter are all actions that can be developed into movement. As a choreographer, Jessica DiMauro collects experiences and snapshots in her mind that are springboards for her unique choreography.

The style of DiMauro Dance proves to be aggressively physical and emotionally charged. The choreographer aims to create work that is accessible to any audience and exciting to the avid dance viewer. The company also enjoys learning new movement vocabulary. They are inspired by new styles of movement in order to infuse them with modern technique and distill them into a cohesive whole.
